Oxygen AdministrationCourse Overview: Certification Period 2 Years Course Length Class for First Aid | CPR AED providers: About 1 ¾ hours
Emergency Use of Medical Oxygen program teaches how to administer emergency medical oxygen to both breathing and non-breathing individuals using oxygen delivery systems. This training, based on updated 2020 Guidelines, is valuable for First Aid | CPR AED and/or BLS providers who may encounter hypoxia in critical situations such as aircraft cabin depressurization, scuba diving decompression illness, drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning, or cardiac arrest. Basic Life Support (BLS) aligns with the most up-to-date resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). Additionally, it adheres to the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, as well as the annual Guidelines Update.
Participants who complete this program can earn Continuing Education Hours in Emergency Medical Services (CAPCE) and for Dental Professionals (AGD/PACE)

Become an authorized HSI CPR Instructor in just one day! The CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor Development Course (IDC) consists of an online cognitive training segment followed by an 8-hour, in-person, instructor-led course held in a city near you.
Upon completing the CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor Development course, you’ll have the ability to certify individuals in CPR, AED, and/or First Aid. You can also add additional courses, such as Basic Life Support (BLS), to your qualifications.
